Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid summaries for marine repair projects. Requires strong technical knowledge in ship repair and maintenance, with a focus on marine systems such as boilers, economizers, IGG, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Complete proposals, submittals, estimates, and bid summary sheets.
Identify and communicate all special requirements on estimates to client representatives and internal departments.
Review customer specifications, technical drawings, and data thoroughly.
Develop detailed, itemized listings of required work tasks based on bid request analysis.
Prepare labor, material, and subcontractor pricing for all required scopes.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering sketches to prepare BOQs.
Monitor project costing and timelines with high attention to detail.
Ensure alignment of technical scope with customer expectations.
Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Support the sales team with technical documentation as needed.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ship repair estimation.
Strong background in repair & maintenance of ship equipment: boilers, economizers, condensers, incinerators, pumps, valves, piping, etc.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills — especially in technical discussions with local and international clients.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage timelines.
